Le Villa BaizeauCollaborative model of Le Villa Baizeau constructed of foam core and museum board. | Axis, Grids & Spacial SequenceAn overlay diagram displaying the components of the design as they pertain to the building section. Rendered in Adobe Illustrator. | Section Relation to FacadeDiagram depicting the building section and how it translates to the facade, with a gradient showing the resulting blurring of interior spaces. |

Interior Space & CirculationSelf-explanatory diagram showing basic circulation path with dotted line as well as one-story and two-story spaces as they relate to the rear facade of Le Villa Baizeau. | Circulation and Space - Plan ViewDiagram showing the difference in interior spaces and how the building's circulation is laced throughout to tie the building together. | Analytical ModelModel of diagramatic analysis of Le Villa Baizeau based on grid/structure, movement/walls, and mass/zoning. |
Analytical Model BreakdownModeled in AutoCAD, this page describes the systems which compose the model as a whole. |
Le Corbusier and his revolutionary work in architecture was used as a basis for future projects in studio class. Many Corb projects were assigned to my class. Le Villa Baizeau was the project assigned to my small group, an obscure building with an even more obscure design process. In analyzing this building, our group found architectural moves which we were to bring through to our own projects the following term. Corbs use of two-story spaces, free facade and free plan played a large role in my following project. Drawings were done in AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator. 3D model built in CAD as well.
