The puzzle box was a project focussed on developing the relationships between parts of a construct. The objective was to create a construct that can be broken down and re-assembled in one, concrete process. The construct was to be composed of multiple pieces that had an inter-locking relationship with one or more other parts. My project was composed of five pieces that came together using a track style of motion, sliding onto each other to hold the composition together. The final product was made of sawn wood, plexiglas and basswood. The austere exterior of the model hides the complex system of sliding tracks on the inside. All drawings were hand rendered using ink pens & markers.
